I successfully downloaded Reefmaster several days ago and installed it. I only was looking for the ability to create maps for my Lowrance LCX 104c using the AT5 format. I created one from USA NOAA charts, but could not save it using the demo software.

As I only wanted this ability not the other program options and I was looking for the cheapest method without the bells and whistles, so i un-installed Reefmaster and downloaded Sonar Viewer to see if it had the capabilities I was looking for. It did not.

I un-installed Sonar viewer, bought Reefmaster lite, and went to reinstall Reefmaster. Now Reefmaster downloads but every time I try to install it, the install program self aborts.

I am not asking the program to cancel, it just rolls from the install screen to the question "Are you sure you want to cancel?" If I answer NO it rolls back 2 screens and the sequence starts over again.

Any help would be appreciated.

That's a strange one - I have not seen or heard of that behaviour before.
Could you please provide a little more information about your system? Which Windows version are you running? Is it 32 or 64 bit? Were you able to run the Sonar Viewer before, and did you run the trial version of ReefMaster before?
Do you click any buttons at all during the install process, once it has started?

I am running Vista Home Pro Service Pack 1 on a HP SR5710Y with a 32 bit operating system.

I have tried numerous times to install SP2 in the past unsuccessfully. Before ever hearing about Reefmaster.

Reefmaster worked the first time. I uninstalled it because i wasn't sure I was going to buy it. I wanted to look at Sonar View and thought there could be conflicts in the two programs so i unloaded Reefmaster.

When I installed Sonar View it required some pre requisite programs that the Sonar View Install self prescribed which I accepted. It then finished the install and ran uneventfully.

I then uninstalled Sonar View.

A couple of days later I tried re installing Reefmaster and ran into the problem. I have rebooted several times, tried logging in as a different user, and tried installing as administrator even though i was already the administrator.

The interesting thing is when I try installing it as a different user it doesn't even attempt an install. I click on the Reefmaster install downloader and a sweeping circle comes up for maybe 2 seconds and then it goes away. Nothing.

TY
