I am scanning quite large areas and would really like to be able to zoom out more on my mosaics. Is is a fixed setting SonarPro has made or can I make another setting or is it dependant on my hardware. I have quite alot of RAM, 20Gb and a separate graphics card, not the best by all means but at least a real card.
Thankful for clever answers!

This isn't possible at the moment. The idea really is that you review and edit sidescan in a mosaic (or track) window, and then export to an image. If you export using the MBTiles format, you can then view this within RM and will be able to see all view levels.
The issue with the current implementation isn't so much memory as performance. Because all of the sidescan data is read and processed as required from the original sonar logs, it could take a very long time to display data at lower view levels - e.g. a kilometre square area could easily require several GB of data to be read and processed from disk.

Aha, so you mean I can export a larger mosaic than what is possible to watch in RM and then look at this exported image?

Yes - export the mosaic, choose the MBTiles format and check the option "add exported image to workspace", which will automatically add the image back into the workspace as a background image (if you don't check this option, you can still add the image by importing a new background image and browsing to the mbtiles file that was exported). This will give you much better viewing performance, since the MBTiles format stores a set of tiled, multi-resolution images that are loaded as required. In my opinion it is better to think of the sidescan mosaic and track review steps as an editing process rather than a viewing process.
