Hi,

I`m thinking of buying a Lowrance Elite 7 TI Totalscan. But i was wondering if you can use the depth highlight and bottom hardness feature on these units? Or do only the HDS units support this?

Yes, you can use both. Elite 7 Ti is basically an HDS7 Gen2Touch in terms of functionality, but with wireless network capability, and no ethernet port. They are very good units, excellent value.

Yep, it has map categories on board. While on the Chart page, push the pages button then select -> View -> Categories....I think. Menu sequences do seem to vary between ELITE Ti and HDS Gen2.
