I added a new sl2 file to a project and this is what happened in the contour view.

You didn't use "add track as boundary" by mistake did you? That's what it looks like.. have a look through your map boundaries and see if you can see your track name. If so, delete it and re-add it using "add to project".

I don't have any boundaries in this project.

Interesting - I removed the track from the component tracks list in the edit panel and the "boundary??" still shows up when the contours are regenerated.

Have a look in the Map Boundaries section of the project edit panel and see if the track is in there - it looks to me that it was added "as boundary" by mistake, which means the track is used as a shoreline or island (and not as a depth data source).

I have nothing in the Map Boundaries section of this project.

Did you click through with the arrows? Your image looks very much like a boundary to me - I can't think of anything else that would look like that.

There was data in the Map Boundaries section. Not sure how it got there. I've imported hundreds of sl2 files without having this happen. I started a new project and imported the same file without any issues.

I've attempted to make boundaries before but haven't been very successful.

No worries Meggs - I did suspect it, as I really couldn't think of anything else that would cause that effect. When you add a track to a project via a right-click from the asset list, there is an option "add track as boundary" - my guess is that you clicked this by mistake.
