Long time RM user here. I just saw this post and tried to updated my existing version 2.0 of RM. The message says that I'm running the latest version of RM (2.0). What's the work around?

- From version 3.0 onwards I would like to propose introducing an annual renewal of e.g. $ 100.00 (SonarTRX is between 90 and 250). If you don't pay a renewal, you only have an area of ​​e.g. 1km2 to make a map of. Then the small user can continue, but with a more limited area.

Yes, this is still the plan. There has been quite a bit of work on a v3 but still more to do. I know that I have said this before, but somewhere towards the end of this year I hope to make a major release. I will keep you posted.
