The sidescan mosaics look great on my PC but I wanted to use the information on my plotter. I am covering a large area, and my mosaics are generally poor quality. I have used the "Tracing Sidescan Images within Reefmaster" option and written the paths as a shapefile. These files were processed in IMC and the resulting files added to the map card in my HDS plotter. I will be using the new information to further explore the areas where the hand drawn lines appear.

First image shows the hand traced ledges. Second image shows how they appear in my HDS*.







*I am using the "AT5 Map with Colour Gradient Shaded Relief" export option for my main contours. This explains the awful Lowrance background colour where I have gaps in the map.

Looks good Meggs. I think that is the best way to use sidescan info on a unit - just trace features of interest and keep the map easy to read on the water, although I guess it is nice to have the option to have the whole thing on there if you want.

I think this option is incredibly useful - well done Matt. It means that bottom composition can be refined easily using visual data, and that things such as marking out survey areas, weed areas and hazard areas based upon SS data have just become a piece of cake.

I've created a map with my mosaic tracings as Custom Paths. They look OK on my HDS plotter. What is the best way to bring them back into RM so that they show over a map? I'm making a priority list of areas to revisit and it would be easier to plan on the PC.
