Hello RM-colleagues,
As a new user I am glad I bought RM, much more to offer then DrDepth.
But at the moment I don't succeed in displaying a vector map with major contour levels.
I tried every setting but no result.

Is maybe the area too small : +\- 50 x 50 meters?
The water is within a concrete construction and approximately 9 - 9.50 meters deep.

Hi Chiel,
There's a few possibilities but it will be easier to understand what is happening if you can post a screen grab of your map project - also with raster mode for comparison.
If there isn't a single major contour level in the entire map project then there will not be any isobaths in the finished map. If this is the case then try reducing the major contour interval. If you don't get any major contours even at the smallest contour increment then you might be stuck with raster. You could still set the background colour of your map in vector mode by setting the water body colour in a user map.

I attached 3 images:
1 : Raster display
2 : Image with DrDepth (same location)
3 : Screen grab (I hope it is clear enough to view).

The depth range is between 9.15 and 9.55 metres below water-level.
And that is probably the cause, to few difference in depth, I think, for vector mode.
If so, is making a user map the solution?

Your screenshot with settings is missing.

I think, you just have to change your settings in RM to get a result like with DrDepht - or even much better / with more details.

Pic 1 is with settings major / minor contours




Pic 2 is only with major contours



Pic 3 is in raster mode with another color table





... just tried a pretty little area with only minimal depth changing - it works

RM isobaths create separate colours for each major contour level, and the minimum major increment is 0.5m. Looking at your data, you 8should* be able to get two levels (above/below 9.5m) and two colours, but you won't see as much information in the colours as you would with raster. What format do you need the finished map in? Yo can't (yet) export an image from a User Map so that might not be much use to you.
