I have a Lowrance elite ti unit that i would like to connect to Reefmaster for Live data.
My computer does not have a serial port, so i need to use usb...

Can I use something like this usb cable?

you need a NMEA power and data cable

As well as an adapter cable from the RS-422 serial port to USB

EliteTi has the ability to transmit NMEA 0183 data over Wi-Fi
using the GpsGate program on the computer, you can receive a signal from the echo sounder to the computer wirelessly.


BUT ReefMaster still does not want to work with virtual COM ports, no matter how much they tried to fix it.

Does that mean that GpsGate gps gate will not work? (does it use viritual com port?)
