thx fjordfisher. So if I had that on my iphone and was on that lake I would see my location? That could really come in handy ice fishing.

lack of knowledge in doing so. Still in the phase of just making the maps of my lake, what you spoke of is new to me. Is there something on the forum that talks about it or a place you can point me to to learn how to do this?

I agree! But in the mean time, something that works fairly well, at least with Android: try exporting the map from RM in kmz format, and open it with the app Custom Maps.
