Just wondering if there are there any plans to allow .ASC formatted files to be imported directly into RM.

The reason for asking is that LINZ here in New Zealand and Gebco provide downloadable data in ASC format. I know QGIS can be used to convert to CSV but the process is somewhat cumbersome. So much so that I took some time to write a simple VB application that will read an ASC file and parse the data to one or more CSV files (with up to 2 million points per output file). Works way quicker than using QGIS.

Your thoughts on this.
