Some time ago I dabbled with xtf files for viewing my sonar logs after the frustrations of using the Lowrance Sonar Viewer . I used the basic DeepView software to view these files. I was impressed by the images that this software gave. Below is a sample image.




Matt - As you develop the Sonar Viewer could you consider expanding the palette options (if you haven't already)?

Yep - we've got a set of new default palettes for 2D and DS/SS coming up - including a sepia a bit like the one you posted!

Colour preference is always subjective but having more options will be good.

Also the software I mentioned before had a neat feature for measuring the height of a target by measuring the "shadow" on the sidescan.
