I'm currently working on a reservoir that fluctuates in depth up to 20 feet in a typical year. It also has 97 island boundaries which I have imported most from USDA data, as well as adding about 20 of my own. I've also utilized the shoreline boundary from the USDA data.

When I create maps for different water heights, I have to adjust the provided depth values of the island boundaries from 0 when making a map at the top water level, to -20 when making a map for the lowest. This takes forever with the current setup. I think providing the option to set the "Provide Depth" value when importing a boundary file would be a great addition to RM.

Thanks.

I guess you can ignore this request, as your upcoming release with have a final "adjust water height" setting prior to export, so this will be moot. Thanks.

It will? When? Which release? Will I have to pay more? I currently adjust my data for the full pool of the lake, which fluctuates up to 30 feet annually. So my map always shows full pool depth, not actual depth. The ability to adjust the whole map for lake level is the one feature that would take RM from very nice to PERFECT!

This is going to be part of the RM2.0 release, probably (hopefully!) Oct/Nov this year. This will be the first release for which there is a (modest) upgrade fee, as the RM1 cycle comes to a close (this cycle has been active for nearly 4 years now). You would of course be able to continue using RM1 for as long as you like (or, indeed, in parallel with RM2).

TJ, in the meantime, I've managed to create maps with varying pool heights by manually normalizing the tidal adjustment values (in Excel) and re-importing the tracks to a new project space. It's a bit of a pain, but it's doable.
