Known Issues

Setting your default MDL to an invalid DAT file will cause the application to crash when attempting to read the file. Reloading the IMC will immediately crash the application. In order to get past this error, you must delete the registry entry - "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Lowrance\Toolkit\NavicoMapCreator\MdlLocation" or move the DAT file it is trying to read to another location. This has been resolved internally and will be in the next release.
Issue with Win 1252 codec on Major Atlas < 12. This showed up in 2 ways: some valid Win 1252 characters that didn't exist in the Latin1 codepage were not converted and the IMC would sometimes crash when 2 strings that were different converted to the same string on the Unicode to Win 1252 conversion. This has been resolved internally and will be in the next release.
Issue with some raster at5 files on only the Elite HDI causing a repeated loop and then restarting the chart thread (dialog continuously pops up). This issue does not affect all raster charts. This has been resolved internally and will be in the next release.

gpiverson Offline	We've often considered adding a "HIC SVNT DRACONES" or "HIC SVNT LEONES" icon into the icon set. We had some coworkers with their own personal icons but the icon wasn't created with use a dithering method so it was color banded.

gpiverson Offline	I suppose he's preparing to replace whatever fish icon you come up with his own. It's a good thing he doesn't have any photos of my fishing excursions...I usually have to hold the fish much closer to the camera.

Hi Greg,
i found something i cant investigate by myself.
Maybe you or anybody else has an answer, please ?

While trying to build an AT5 from download.geofabrik.de/europe/czech-republic-latest.osm.pbf
Only adjusting the IMC to ATLAS10 and Project Based Naming,

The IMC 0.7.2.0 crashes with an Exception Error.

Heres the log i am able to see before it crashes.

There a a few more, maybe 2 or 4 Messages, which i was not able to catch after the Exception Error comes up.

So after this error in 32/64Bit Ver. of 0.7.2.0 i tried the 0.6.6. IMC.
Then i am wondering, because the 0.6.6. was building the Map without an crash.
So i believe it has nothing to do with the Data !?

gpiverson Offline	I'll take a look today. What step it looks like it is crashing on is the beginning of the merge (which we have seen similar behavior on - I've been doing full rebuilds before release). By the logs, you have completed the Unbound files and are preparing to merge. What is the file size of the Unbound folder from the broken run compared to the file size of the Bound folder from the working run?

gpiverson Offline	Ok...so this didn't break on my normal test runs. I was able to reproduce this on 3 of the 8 blocks in that Czech sample and I'm using the smallest of the 3 to figure out what is causing the issue. Might take a while still.

Issue has been identified and fixed on my local build.

The problem was a regression in the code that had been fixed in the past but re-broken through a move to a common code base. Root of the problem is 2 strings that go into the same library that convert to the same value post Unicode to Win 1252 conversion but are different prior to that conversion.

Because Version 12 encodes all strings in UTF-8, this isn't an issue past this version but was an issue on source files that weren't encoded with a Win-1252 compliant character set.
