I'm searching to buy an app for analyzing recorded data from my sonar.
I have the Humminbird Helix 12 sonar.
Downloaded the ReefMaster Sonar Viewer app and made a recoding on the river.
Loaded the data to the ReefMaster Sonar Viewer and I cant load the SI data.
The 2D and DI data are loaded but no SI data are visible.

Any suggestion why is this happening?
Is this any kind of restriction of the trial version or a bug in the unit or app?

I assume as I tracked down the infos, my sonar should record the SI data also beside all other data.

Can you take a look in the RecXXXX folder with the same number as your DAT file and check which .SON files are present and what sizes they are? One thing to watch with HB is that it won't record side imaging if you are not displaying it on the screen. I believe there is an option to ensure that it logs in the background even when not displayed but off the top of my head I can't remember it.
Just to be clear, the trial version should show all available channels.

I managed the problem.
The problem was as you described, I didn't selected the correct imaging type on my unit.
HB didn't discuss the recording enough detailed, so I didnt realized what should be recorded or what not.
Based on the writing in the user manual from my device I understood, when the unit is set to record mode,
it will pick up all the data in raw on the sd card and so, later the user can decide what to display or not.

But this is not the case.
The unit is working in this way:
- setup the unit to show on screen the needed type of visualization. (DI, DI, 2D or combination )
- start the recording.
- go back to the view screen so you can observe the image ( I went back to my SI & DI view )

Important!
If i change the View settings during the recording from lets say SI & DI to SI & 2D or any other setup,
the unit wont record that, the main recording will still be recorded.

Nothing about this is written in my user manual.
Maybe this will help to somebody with the same problem.
