Is there a way to manually mark up a map in Reefmaster?

For example, some sea charts like avionics have a way of putting an X (not a waypoint) on a map.

I am mapping a flooded reservoir and I'd like to be able to mark underwater trees (deadheads) that are very near the surface in some locations but don't make their way into sonar logs.

I use an extra layer in a map project to highlight reefs, rocks, wrecks or even areas I want to revisit. In your case you could call the layer trees. Process would be to
1. add a new layer
2. select type - I mainly use polyline but you could use polygon
3. draw around your tree or even draw an X - you have lots of editing options i.e. line thickness, colour etc and drawing an X with a mouse requires a steady hand.

Here's a quick example I drew on the Angle Lake test workspace. The red "circle"is actually a polyline and the yellow shape is a polygon.

Adding an image layer may also be an option for you. I haven't done much with images, other than use sidescan images to locate reefs etc.
