The Elite5 emulator avalable on the Lowrance website is good for viewing charts created using the IMC.

It supports Atlas Versions up to 10. It does not support Atlas Version 12.

Set your IMC to save your AT5 directly into the Maps0 folder in C:/program files/Navico/Elite-5 or wherever you installed the thing.

EDIT You will need to move the file down into the Maps0 folder as IMC makes a folder called BoundAT5s inside the Maps0 folder and puts the AT5 in that. The emulator can't see it there.

Simples.

Insight Planner.

Set IMC to save the AT5 file directly into the My Documents/Insight Planner /Charts/Insight/xxxx folder.

The graphics arent great at the moment, in fact they are pretty awful as it doesnt show black or grey lines properly, but they are being fixed in the next update.

You need to set Planner to look for charts in My Documents/Insight Planner /Charts and it will find everything under that path. It does not like to have charts anywhere else - so don't even try.

Thanks Trevor - appreciate your input. It has helped me understand the AT5 maps a lot more.

Insight Planner works ok for me.

The Lowrance emulators are problematical. My Win 7 x64 PC does not "like" them. More work needed by me.

Cheers from down under,

Meggs

And where the file can be downloaded and placed in the root of the program - "npptools.dll", and in which the emulator??
Thanks in advance, Yours faithfully, woda!!!
