BUG: RWM should save trails to Google Earth KMZ Paths with Property->Altitude set as Clamped to Ground. Currently Relative to Ground causes path editing problems in Google Earth.

BUG: Google Earth Placemark Description text is copied as Waypoint Description data, but the reverse is not true. RWM's Waypoint description data is not saved in the Placemark description.

BUG: RWM saved GPX cannot be read by other software programs. Workaround is to import the RWM GPX into a Lowrance HDS, then...

I needed to define a specific area of a lake to estimate the amount of sediment in this location. I'm sure there are other use cases for this method. In this example, its in the center of a lake. Due to its shape, this would have been very difficult to select using the square "Define Map Area" box.

Step 1 - Map shows 5 areas of the lake we are looking at. To start, draw a polygon in Google Earth Pro (GE) to define the lake perimeter and save the KMZ file to your hard drive (after drawing...

RM AT5 Raster Map will be base-layer & IMC Aerial Map is rhe overlay.
It worked for me. Thank you.

A Google Earth shape won't include any background imagery. The best way to include background images in ReefMaster is to use something like SasPlanet to export images in the MBTiles format. This is a bit of grey area legally so I won't link directly but you should be able to find out plenty if you search.

Hi I’m trying to add a background layer or google earth polygon to my lake map. I only seem to get the shape of the polygon around the lake, but no background. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mark

SASPlanet can create waypoints & tracks and offers Navionics, Google Earth, Bing and other backgrounds.

I would recommend naming all waypoints then use Reefmaster Waypoint Manager to produce the final Lowrance import file.

Reefmaster Waypoint Manager allow you to Split a Trail into Trail-Segments.
How about functionality to Merge Trails back into a Trail with Trail-Segments?

And I purpose RWM import and export Trails and Trails w/Trail-Segments using the following Google Earth structure and have attached KMZ and the expanded KML as examples of a lake with submerged roadbeds.

RoadBeds as Individual Trails.KMZ has the <Placemark><LineString> under <Document> where <Placemark><LineString> define each individual...
